NOMINATIONS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN FOR THE 2011 RD Success Bootcamp!

We are inviting teachers, community leaders, mentors and the like to nominate youth in grades 9th and 10th to participate in this life changing weekend. Radical Dreams Success Bootcamp is designed as an intense 3 day business & leadership experience where youth learn to identify their own authentic identity, learn skills on how to trust, get rid of fear, interview, own and utilize their own thoughts to realize their personal passion. , and more!bootcamp is valued at $500 per student and this year we are fortunate to offer it for FREEÊÊ Find out More: Attend an Informational Session on May 29, 2010 at Northwest One Library in DC from 12-1pm (session 1) or 1:30-2:30pm (session 2) *you donÕt need to attend this session in order to nominate youth* Nominate 9th (primarily) or 10th (secondary) gradersthat you believe have internal motivation, but needs a support system and practical steps to impact the world Fill out the nomination form online or complete the attached nomination form and send it to corporate@sfli.org before the nomination deadline Friday, June 18, 2010.

Nomination Cycle

Nomination Cycle Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis, however deadlines for nominations occur twice a year. These deadlines are in place to determine which cycle a youth would be considered for during the selection process. Once a deadline ends, nominations for another cycle open. Local community hubs are provided with the deadline and updated forms and are asked to communicate the information to their contacts of parents, churches, educators, community leaders, and other youth based organizations who may be interested in nominating a youth utilizing the following criteria:

Criteria for Nominations

Criteria for Nominations Nominee must be a youth in the 9thor 10thgrade Possess the Internal Motivation to Succeed Desire to be a productive citizen and improve academic performance Necessity for a coach or network to help catapult internal dreams The student with a ÒGleam in Their EyeÓ

Process Post Nominations

Process Post-Nomination Invitation to Informational Session (parent/guardian & student) Student submits a student profile package (registration form and 2 essays) General Rd. 1 Interview Selective Rd. 2 Interview Youth will be notified by July 30th of their acceptance Parent & Student Orientation Only 12 students will be selected for this bootcamp cohort

Student Selection

Student Selection The student will be selected based on quantitative and qualitative information retrieved from the student profile form and interview answers. Selected Students will be notified accordingly.
