SUCCESS COACHING - FAST FACTS

Q. How much time must a success coach commit?

A.
The length of time varies case-by-case, but on average it can take anywhere from 18 to 36 months.  Each student is helped to map out his/her pathway to progress.  This might mean obtaining a GED, high school reentry, enrollment in a community college or vocational school, going to the military and the like.  The goal is to get a student on his/her feet with some real goals and objectives.  We do anticipate that many success coaches will maintain long-term, and even life-long, relationships with those they mentor.

Q. How are success coaches and candidates matched?

A. They are matched according to gender, age, life experiences and interests.  All of our success coaches prepare a profile that indicates the type of students they are best equipped to support.  Once the success coach and student are paired, we recommend an initial face-to-face meeting.  An organized social event is always a good place to meet. We leave this up to the coach.
